3rd Day – “Twelve Days of Christmas Sales” 2018

It’s the 3rd Day of Christmas and this is what’s on sale! Today’s feature is my German Collection China Paint Set. Our line of china paints are produced to give reliable results each and every time. These china paints contain lead which allows for consistent firings and excellent fluidity. Our paints blend easily and fade less than unleaded china paints during firing. All of our china paints should be fired to cone 018. When doing many multiple firings I do fire to 019 and then evaluate on the last firing if I need to fire one last time to 018.
The German Collection can be used for all types of German dolls including “Mein Liebling”, “Hilda”, and many of the “Heubach” children. The collection consists of German Wash, German Eyelash, German Light Hair, German Dark Hair, German Light Brow, German Dark Brow, German Lip, and German Lip Shading and Cheeks.
Regular Price on the German Collection Paint Set is $54.00. From today until December 20th, it is on special for $40.00 for the set of 8 colors. I have multiple sets available so this offer is not limited to one.

2nd Day of “Twelve Days of Christmas Sales” 19″ “April”

It was the 2nd Day of Christmas and this is what’s on sale! This Doll Has Been Sold!

19″”April” by Connie Zink

This beautiful 19″ April with blue painted eyes is a true work of art. She has an all porcelain body. April was originally sculpted by Dianna Effner and made from a mold available through Expressions. Her exquisite smocked costume was crafted for me by Sue Sharp of the The Sharp Needle. April stands 19″ tall but you need to allow 21″ in height on a shelf to accommodate the bow. She is wearing a yellow print cotton dress with a hand smocked cotton pinafore. She has a cotton slip and underwear along with yellow shoes and cotton stockings. I have been painting and teaching lifelike modern painted eyes for over 15 years. It takes numerous firings to achieve the depth as shown in these painted eyes. From the photos you can see this doll is painted to perfection with a lifelike realistic expression. The regular price on this doll is $550.00. For the Christmas sale she is reduced to $495.00 plus shipping. Sale ends December 20th. Welcome to my “Twelve Days of Christmas Sales”!! This is Day One! Every day from now through December 18, I will be offering an item or items on sale for your Christmas pleasure. The items will remain on sale through December 20th or whenever the items are sold out, whichever comes first. Some items I will have multiples of, but many will be limited to one. I will not be including shopping cart buttons for these items. I do not want to take a chance on selling them more than once. The item will go to the first person who emails me and wants to purchase the item. Once the sale is confirmed I will send a Paypal invoice or you can call me with a credit card. So get ready! First Day of Christmas: 24″ Father Christmas Ready to Costume!

This 24″ Father Christmas made from the Kimple mold was completed in 2008. I’m sorry to say he never was finished with costume so I have decided to offer him for sale as an undressed doll. He stands 24″ tall and is complete on his cloth body with the under robe and metal doll stand. I do not have a costume pattern to go with him. He has a beautifully painted porcelain head with beard, bisque hands and painted brown boots. Father Christmas has blue painted eyes. Completed with a traditional Father Christmas robe he will make an awesome addition to anyone’s Christmas collection. He will be my one and only offering of this size. I lost this mold in the storage unit fire of 2012 and was never able to replace it. He is a one of a kind offering from me. I do however still have the large size Father Christmas mold from Kimple that I offer soft fired greenware and blank bisque.

Regular price is $450.00 however his sale price through my “Twelve Days of Christmas Sales” is $375.00. If I list him in my eBay store or Etsy he will be listed at the $450.00 original cost. Welcome back to Land of Oz Dolls! I would love to share with you tonight my newest E12J Jumeau. She stands 21″ tall and is now available for purchase. She has such personality and is one of my favorite Jumeau’s.

21″ E12J Jumeau by Connie Zink

She was made from the S-185ST Seeley E.J. Camille head mold. This doll is perfection at its best.The artistry is superb with wonderfully detailed and shaded French eyebrows, beautifully spaced eyelashes, perfectly shaped lips with accents, and a hint of mauve eye shadow. Her porcelain head is on an FB16JS composition body from New York Doll Products. She stands 23″” tall on her wooden base doll stand with bonnet. (Allow height on shelf for stand and hat, doll alone is 21″ tall). The wooden base doll stand is included. She has beautiful dark blue-grey Schoepfer paperweight eyes with intense depth, the photos just do not do the eyes justice. She has a Monique Human Hair Dark Brown Helen Wig . The costume is made from a beautiful shade of blue silk covered with gorgeous antique cotton lace and netting. The dress with antique lace trim and a bonnet was created by Pam Willits. She also has a beige cotton slip and underwear, along with taupe hand made leather shoes and crocheted cotton stockings. New 17″ Bru Jne 8 For Sale!

Welcome back to Land of Oz Dolls! Newly Listed On My Website! I just wanted to share another beautiful Bru with you. This one is the Bru Jne 8. She is 17″ tall (doll only) about 18 1/2″ tall when you allow for the doll stand and bonnet. Bru’s are one of my favorite dolls to paint. I have never met a Bru I haven’t absolutely loved. This gorgeous, museum quality 17″ Bru 8 antique reproduction porcelain doll was lovingly created by “Millie” winning, world renowned artist, Connie Zink of Land of Oz Dolls. She was made from the VL-27 Bru Jne 8 Virginia LaVorgna head mold. This doll is perfection at its best. Her porcelain head is on a FB14S composition body from New York Doll Products. She stands 18 1/2″ tall on her wooden base doll stand. (Allow height on shelf for stand and hat, doll alone is 17″ tall). The wooden base doll stand is included. She has beautiful light blue Schoepfer paperweight eyes with intense depth, the photos just do not do the eyes justice. She has a striking vintage new (never used) old store stock Cheveux French Human Hair wig from the late 1980’s . The costume is made from a beautiful shade of purple “raw” silk. The dress with antique lace trim and a bonnet was created by Pam Willits. She also has a beige cotton slip and underwear, along with cream hand made leather shoes and hand crocheted cotton stockings.

New 27″ Bru 13 For Sale

Welcome back to Land of Oz Dolls! It seems so long ago I stopped by with any news here at the shop. I have an exciting announcement of my latest creation along with some photos to share with you. Now that summer is over and the hot weather is gone, I am back in the studio creating some new dolls. I also have started my newest session of Online Doll-making Classes. I believe this was a pattern originally shown in a Gildebrief magazine. I know I just love it. Online Porcelain Doll Classes Starting!!!

Good evening to all! It’s been awhile since I stopped by the website to give you an update of what’s new around Land of Oz Dolls. There are some exciting things happening here! First news is I am beginning online porcelain doll classes through a group on Facebook. I will be doing some free demonstrations along with doing classes online for both modern and antique reproduction doll makers. By joining the group if you are a Facebook user, it will keep you informed of the upcoming classes and free demos. Joining the group does not commit you to paid classes, it just lets you know what will be available and when. If you are not a Facebook member and you are interested in online classes please contact me at landofozdolls@mchsi.com I am trying to set up a way to also do classes for non Facebook users. This beautiful, museum quality 12” Simon and Halbig German Fashion antique reproduction porcelain doll was lovingly created by “Millie” winning, world renowned artist, Connie Zink of Land of Oz Dolls. The artistry is superb with wonderfully detailed German eyebrows, beautifully spaced lower eyelashes, mohair upper lashes, carved porcelain teeth, perfectly shaped lips with accents, delicately painted cheeks, and a hint of lavender eye shadow. Her porcelain head is on a 9″ composition Bell Collection Lady Body and stands approximately 12″ tall. She has beautiful blue paperweight eyes with lots of depth. She has an auburn mohair upswept wig from Global.
